Photo challenge/RED

This week our photo challenge at I ♥ Faces is RED in support of Go Red for Women. Let’s celebrate Valentine’s Day in a bright, vibrant, fun way while also spreading the word about a fantastic cause… Go Red for Women.  I snapped this picture of Emily when she and her sister stopped by with a bouquet of cupcakes for my twins' 16th birthday.

Over at I Heart Faces, this weeks challenge is Best Face in January.  I captured this photo of my daughter when she was home from college this month.  :)

Photo Challenge | Winter Wonderland

The I Heart Faces contest theme for this week is Winter Wonderland.  When we traveled to Oregon for Christmas break, we were able to take all of the kids sledding (down the golf course!). It was a blast and you can just see (kind of ;) ) the joy in my son and nephew's faces in this photo that I took of them. Living in California, this was such a treat to experience a Winter Wonderland!  What a great theme this week. I can't wait to check out all of the other photos. 

I Heart Faces Fix It Friday #82

 
It’s Fix it Friday over at I Heart Faces, yeah!   This is a beautiful image of an adorable little girl photographed by Rachel Durik of Savor Photography.  The second image is my edit using Aperture.  I started with cropping the photo, working with the levels and curves so that I felt Rachel's eyes popped in the photograph, and then tried to lighten the darkness from under her eyes.   This was my first week and what fun it was!
